Biography

Nidal Abdeljawad is a Counsel in the firm’s Cross-Border Asset Recovery group. He specializes in tracing funds through offshore structures — shell companies, trusts and nominee accounts — and in cross-border cyber fraud matters, including investment-platform scams, business email compromise and cryptocurrency theft.

He has coordinated freezes and recovery proceedings across multiple jurisdictions, working alongside the firm’s investigators, forensic accountants and local counsel to move from first report to first freeze as quickly as the facts allow.

Nidal advises individual and corporate victims of transnational fraud on both civil recovery and criminal-complaint strategy, and works closely with law enforcement and regulators in the relevant jurisdictions. He is admitted in New York.
